Blood Warrior,
Death Vessel,
Violent Mae

Hailing from Portland Maine, Blood Warrior, the side project of O’Death frontman Greg Jamie and Super Monster‘s Joey Weiss, returns to Cafe Nine, in support of their latest lp, Letter Ghost.  We put out Blood Warrior’s debut lp a couple years back and it still remains one of our favorites.  Dark and moody, psychedelic americana folk songs beautifully crafted by musicians of excellent caliber.  We’re excited to have them back and are over the moon to see them on a bill with Subpop’s Death Vessel, and with local support from Violent Mae.  Last year’s Death Vessel lp, Island Intervals is a beautiful lp of lush alt folk, displaying front man Joel Thibodeau’s unique vocals and incredible song arrangement (with recording and vocal assist from Sigor Ros’ Jonsi).  Also, CT’s favorite folk pop duo, Violent Mae have been wowing audiences for quiet some time, creating immersive songs utilizing drums, guitar, beautifully subdued vocals and great use of space.
Join us for a relaxing evening of beautiful folk, americana, psych pop (call it what you will).  Word is out on this one, so grab a ticket in advance!  You’ll regret missing out on this one.
