Hey Everyone,
It's been a while, but we're back with a new update.
Our ears have been ringing non-stop now for a couple weeks, what with everyone talking about us. Check out all the press we've been getting.
Our Interview with PLAY Magazine
PLAY Magazine also recently put together a list of the top 5 local records of 2006 and Crooked Hook and The Mountain Movers made the list. Also on that list is Titles, who are going to be on the split picture disc with The Mountain Movers. Look for that in stores towards the end of February.
A few kind words from the New Haven Advocate
As well, as a "best of list" from the New Haven Register
Also, THRASHER MAGAZINE's February 2007 issue said this about Crooked Hook in the Notes from the Underground section:
"And if I'm going to mention heavy, I better mention the Crooked Hook EP I got in the mail (from Safety Meeting Records). It looked like one of those demo cds I get that usually end up in the rubbish bin after three seconds of the first song, but wait! This one's different! I gave it a chance because the first song is titled "I Just Might Crack," so I thought it might be a Maker's cover. But what came out of the speakers was the most completely fuzzed out, psyched, acid rock. This could be the lost Blue Cheer or Mudhoney record. Spark up a doob and melt into the couch, this shit's heavy man." -Wes Lundry
It feels good to be appreciated. Keep your eyes and ears open for more news and releases in the oncoming months.
