....Of Holidays and Such

Hey Everyone,
Just dropping a line to wish everyone Happy Holidays! We've all enjoyed a great year here at Safety Meeting and are looking forward to everything that 2007 has to offer. The New year is gonna be really huge for Safety Meeting. We've got a whole bunch of projects coming your way. Here's a quick rundown:

In the next couple of weeks, we're gonna be launching our mp3 download section featuring live shows, unreleased material from bands of yesteryear, and all sorts of smaller digital download only projects. We're really psyched about this idea and hope it'll help bring CT together, establishing what some may call a "scene". It's doubtable that this idea would have ever come to surface if not for the visionary talents of Titles guitar man, Matt Wilson. Thanks Matt.

Also on the Horizon is our very first vinyl release; a split 7 inch picture disc featuring "Fate's on Your Side" from the Mountain Movers, and "Wait, I don't Know" and "Everything's Starting to Look Up" from Titles. We just finished putting this project together earlier this week and are really excited about it. Keep checking back for news regarding release date and shows (or just sign up for the newsletter and let us come to you).

Those of you who've asked me what became of the Lord Fowl recording, have no fear; it's on the way. Now that Vechel's hand is all better, we're gonna get them in to a studio and start cranking out the rock n' roll. If you haven't seen Lord Fowl play yet, do yourself a favor and go check them out. I was lucky enough to take a time out from my busy schedule and check them out at BAR when they opened for Dead Meadow and was blown away.

What else is on the horizon? New London's favorite sons, the Quiet Life, are jumping on board and releasing a full length with us in late March. The little I heard thus far from the tracking sessions sounds great, and I'm sure that the final product will make your head spin. If you're curious to hear what's in store, but can't wait till March, then go check them out live, they never dissapoint.

Well, that's all we got for now. Have a really great whatever your holiday of preference is, thanks for all the love and support in 2006, and keep your eyes and ears open for all the excitement that 2007's due to bring.
